Around the Word is launching a new audio description service for the French market.

PRESS RELEASE
October 4, 2017 – Paris
Around the Word (ATW) is launching a new audio description service for the French market.
Around the Word (ATW), a French leader in the field of video game localization, translation and adaptation, is proud to announce the launch of its audio description service.
Michel Golgevit, President of Around the Word, explained. “In order to respond to the growing demand for audio description in movies and television series, we decided to launch a service based on a technology transfer process developed by an applied research centre. Thanks to this, our audio description creators can remain focused on the artistic aspects of their work and are thus able to complete projects 30% to 50% faster.”
Furthermore, as of Q4 (or October??) 2017, ATW will be the only provider to offer the choice between two audio renderings for each project, either a human voice or a next-gen synthetic voice. In fact, clients will be able to choose the deliverable based on many criteria, such as the nature of the medium and the description it needs, the age of the target audience, the timeframes and/or the available budget.
Opting for a synthetic voice means clients can benefit from savings of up to 50%.
